Sigiriya

In the evening around 3pm after the noon heat has passed, climb Sigiriya Lion Rock Fortress. A UNESCO World Heritage Site is a Sri Lankan historical and cultural treasure, often referred to by locals as the 8^th Wonder of the World. A true archaeological wonder, King Kasyapa commission this palace in the sky complete with city planning, arts, Landscaping, hydraulic technology and more in 5AD. The estimated timing to tour this site is 1-hour and.30 minutes, and we advise to make it at the earliest possible time in the morning to avoid noon heat.

Matale / Knuckles

• Leave early morning and travel via Matale to the Knuckles Mountain Range
